DIY SHOES// DANCING IN FLORALS

IMG_2050

My new favorite shoes, so lets try to make it yours too!

Materials:
- Shoes (any style as long as 90% of the shoe has a thick fabric texture. Mine are the really cheap ones from the little markets)
-  Acrylic paint
- Paint brushes (smaller brushes will be easier for this)

All there is to this is to think of a pattern/ design. However, as for this floral design, there really is no rule.

1. Draw curvy oval shapes as petals, the more abstract the better. Draw the flower from bottom, up leaving a little space in the middle of all the petals for the stigma. Also, for the side effect, draw bigger pedals at the bottom and smaller ones piling on top.
2. Once you have outlined your flowers in pencil on your shoe, mix a variety of shades from one color (or use a combination of colors, up to you) and color in each petal. Leaving a white space separating each petal will give a more distinct flower look. (I think it looks better like that too)

Since spring is slowly (very slowly) approaching, I just couldn't let go of the idea of floral printed shoes. I didn't know where to get ones that I'd really like, so why not make your own? It is super easy to do & it definitely kills a lot of time. Don't be afraid with slopping the paint on and don't try too hard making each flower look perfect, it will be much more fun if you're spontaneous with this!
